Job description

EM suppliers’ quality management directly impacts effectiveness and efficiency of the following activities: SCAR process management, suppliers’ selection and qualification, process change management, suppliers’ performance monitoring and continuous improvement plan, critical suppliers focus, global quality performance evaluation and suppliers’ development plan, where appropriate, suppliers audits, and supplier quality management strategy.

EM internal auditor: He/She ensures that organizational processes comply with the requirements of standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO17025, etc…), as well as customer, regulatory, and the organization’s own requirements.

This impacts EM Marin, as well as remote locations EM BKK.

In order to strengthen our Quality department we are recruiting a:

Supplier Quality Manager

  • Defines supplier quality management strategy in close collaboration with Quality management, Operations and Business Units. Ensures its implementation, monitoring and effective completion
  • Ensures Suppliers quality agreements are established and reviewed timely
  • Ensure EM and EM customers’ requirements are effectively deployed to relevant customers
  • Ensures SCAR management process is effective: root cause analysis, effectiveness of CAPA and adequate response, according to EM and EM customers’ requirements
  • Collaborates closely with operations, BU and purchasing to assess, select and qualify new suppliers and qualify new articles. Reviews and validates suppliers PPAP, where applicable
  • Collaborates closely with operations, BU and purchasing to review, assess, accept and qualify suppliers’ process changes
  • Supports risk assessment for suppliers’ related waiver requests and ensures proper monitoring to guarantee no impact to EM production and customers
  • Ensures that yearly targets are defined and deployed to automotive grade and other relevant suppliers, foundries and subcontractors
  • Monitors and reports suppliers’ quality performance to management. Analyzes, define and drive continuous improvement projects based on top detractors
  • Supports Suppliers Performance Re-evaluation jointly with the Supply Chain team to trigger suppliers audit and development plan
  • Owns supplier audit program in coordination with interested parties. VDA 6.3 methodology required for automotive grade suppliers
  • Lead auditor for EM internal audit activities: risk assessment and prioritization of the audits, performs internal audits, reviews and validates effectiveness of corrective actions, consolidates and reports main system gaps and opportunities to management, ensures that the practices, processes and procedures of the organization confirm to the internal and external requirements.

Profile

  • Engineering degree (Master is a plus) in Electronics, Microelectronics, Materials engineering. 5-10 years in a supplier quality organization
  • Quality Management System: ISO 9001, IATF 16949
  • Automotive core tools: FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP
  • Relevant industry standards as AEC Q100, Jedec, MIL883 etc.
  • Audit experience with VDA 6.3 and strong knowledge of ISO 19011. Analytic skills & strong problem solving methods. Statistical knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of semiconductor products development and manufacturing processes / environment
  • Project management skills
