Global mission:

The Process Engineering Section Manager is leading and organizing a process engineering team in order to provide to the production reliable processes, tools and methods to achieve the company target in terms of quality, cost, delivery and technology.

Tasks and responsibilities:

In collaboration with the other departments (production, maintenance, YEPI and R&D), your responsibilities will be:

  • Developing robust processes that ensure stable production
  • Analyzing the causes of non-quality (lots on hold, scrap, yield lost) and defining actions plans / programs to solve the root cause
  • Ensuring real time support to the production in case of problems on lots or equipments
  • Defining and driving continuous improvement projects
  • Defining strategy for new process and tools

Results will be reached by developing and empowering your team, ensuring that all the company standards and rules are deployed and effectively used. Gaps will be assessed and action plans set to make sure that objectives are deployed and understood, keeping a motivated team towards the company targets.

Profil

Education:

  • Engineer degree in physics or microelectronics or chemistry.

Background:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in at least one of the Dry Etching, Wet processes, Strip and or CMP with relevant management experience.

Global Mission

In the Implantation & Metallization Maintenance section within the IC Frontend Operations:

Deliver with methods a stable, predictable and improving performance of the machines whilst remaining within the boundaries of time, resources, and costs.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Enhance the preventive, predictive and curative maintenance of the equipment in terms of Safety, PM on Time, PM in Time, First Time Right, efficiency, Costs, MTBF, and MTTR
  • Perform regular equipment performance analysis through a PDCA methodology (RCA, Pareto, and Actions) by identifying Key Characteristics in collaboration with the Process Team,
  • Oversee 8Ds and Task Forces when necessary with all the stakeholders,
  • Define and mitigate the risks with equipment FMEA
  • Support the technician’s team in terms of maintenance, methods, structured troubleshooting, qualifications for the production,
  • Develop the skills with trainings in order to increase the know-How in a sustainable manner.
  • Maintain and update documentation in the frame of the Quality System: procedures, checklists, standards and norms, information from equipment suppliers
  • Ensure a clear and structured communication throughout the section and the Maintenance department
  • Be proactive with the suppliers by tracking the actions and by conducting recurrent interviews in order to have a continuous support and efficiency for the interventions
  • Track and Plan spare parts and service contracts costs
  • Provide technical inputs on new equipment acquisitions; integrate these equipment from the start into the shopfloor until the management of the obsolescence
  • Perform a technological watch through documentation, exhibitions in order to improve the efficiency of the Maintenance, and by the way, the performance of the Manufacturing

Profile

  • HES Engineering degree or equivalent
  • Min. 3 years maintenance experience in Implantation or Metal area as Engineer in Microelectronic

Senior Security Engineer

Job description

EM is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to expand its Security Team in Marin, Switzerland. The candidate must be an experienced and motivated professional with proven experience in security topics, from lower level hardware design to high level system security concepts.

He/she will have to work in close contact with the EM Business Units in order to define, implement and verify the security architecture of EM’s SoCs .

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Define hardware and software security requirements of our products
  • Define the hardware security architecture of the IC
  • Define the hardware IP security blocks
  • Perform security threat analysis and review of security systems
  • Collaborate closely with the product development teams for the design and implementation of features
  • Review and audit the security implementation
  • Interface with our customers from the security requirements to the IC design
  • Provide security consulting to the customers
  • Occasionally design blocks on your own

 

Profile

  • Masters or PhD in security, software engineering, electronics
  • At least 7 years experience in security field
  • Teamplayer, flexible, hard worker, good analytical skills

Professional requirements

  • Proven experience in secure microcontrollers architecture
  • Experience with design of hardware security IPs

  • Knowledge of the security automotive standards (ISO 21434, A-Spice etc.)
  • Understanding of physical attacks
  • Advanced understanding of applications such as Bluetooth, Smart Cards, RFID,...

The following skills would be considered as a plus

  • Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals: algorithms and protocols
  • Experience performing physical attacks (invasive attacks, side-channel attacks, fault attacks)
  • Secure software development (libs, bootloader etc..)
  • Experience with certification schemes such as FIPS140 and Common Criteria

Languages

  • Good written and spoken English
