Summary

Highly skilled and driven IC Technical Leader with experience in IC design to lead complex, cross-functional projects from concept to production. This role bridges the gap between semiconductor design and system engineering, ensuring seamless integration of IC architectures.

You will be innovating and managing multidisciplinary teams and driving the development of next-generation custom integrated circuits for applications in sensing, imaging, signal processing and beyond.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Own the end-to-end execution of IC design projects involving optical components, from planning and specification to tape-out and product Lead local team of 4-5 engineers and facilitate communication with European based development team members.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with IC design, layout, embedded software, packaging, test, and optical engineering teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
  • Technical Oversight: Provide guidance on system-level architecture, design tradeoffs and IC integration. Challenge the status quo to push technical innovation to increase performance while improving power consumption. Support signal processing and algorithm innovation.
  • Risk Management: Identify technical and logistical risks early and implement mitigation
  • Stakeholder Communication: Report progress to internal leadership and external customers, translating technical details into actionable insights.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure design verification, validation, and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements

Profile

Qualifications

Education: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field from established university.

To be considered for this position, candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. EM Microelectronic will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

Required experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in an IC design and development. Prior experience in technical leadership roles such as IC design lead, IC project management, IC product management and optoelectronic or photonic systems is needed.
  • Demonstrable understanding of CMOS IC design including analog, digital, memory, and embedded
  • Proven track record of managing tape-outs and product development cycles with embedded systems
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with excellent communication abilities

Professional requirements

  • Successful consumer product development
  • Familiarity with Cadence IC design tools
  • Embedded systems testing (black box, unit, functional)
  • Programming background using Matlab, Python, Labview helpful to support test platforms

The Product Marketing Manager own the strategic and tactical marketing responsibilities for RFID semiconductor products. This includes defining product positioning, driving go-to-market strategies, managing product lifecycles, and enabling the sales team. The person has a deep understanding of the RFID ecosystem—tag to reader to software and system — and can articulate a value proposition to customers and internal stakeholders with precision.

The performance will be measured on the ability to drive RFID product revenue growth, successfully launch new products, increase market share, and position the company as a leader in key RFID application segments.

Key Responsibilities

Market Strategy & Positioning

  • Conduct rigorous market and competitor analysis; provide actionable intelligence to the business unit
  • Define and communicate the value proposition, target markets, customer personas, and competitive differentiation for RFID products
  • Identify growth opportunities in established and emerging RFID markets (e.g., supply chain, retail, healthcare, automotive)

Product Lifecycle Management and Product Support Package

  • Lead product definition in collaboration with BU and Sales, ensuring alignment to market needs and customer demands
  • Own product roadmap input, feature prioritization, pricing strategies, and end-of-life plans
  • Define and drive availability of the Product Support Package, including technical documentation, marcom collateral, NPI plan, etc.

Go-to-Market Execution

  • Build product launch plans and manage cross-functional execution (sales, applications engineering, operations)
  • Create marketing collateral—presentations, datasheets, white papers, and case studies – and lead the Marketing communications effort with the Sales and MarCom teams
  • Define and track KPIs for product launches, adoption rates, and revenue performance

Sales Enablement and Ecosystem Engagement

  • Train global sales teams and distributors on RFID product value propositions and competitive positioning
  • Support key customer engagements alongside the sales team, including technical presentations and proposal support
  • Support engagement with top customers, partners, and system integrators to gather feedback and inform product strategy

System Architect/Engineer RFID

RFID standard and ecosystem

System and level design

This role is based at our headquarters in Marin/Neuchâtel with no remote or hybrid work possibility.

Proven track record of successfully selling direct to customers, and through reps & distribution channels.

Your essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Field sales and marketing activities for all of EM’s products and customers in the DACH Region
  • KPIs: sales revenue and design wins
  • Develop sales strategies for the territory in alignment with company objectives to achieve growth & revenue targets
  • Identify and develop new customers, market segments and opportunities
  • Identify, qualify and manage sales channels, reps and distributors
  • Engage with eco-system partners to bring to the market complete solutions focusing on EM chips

  • Provide support to customers from design phase through mass production
