EM offers a family of energy harvesting PMICs for low-power applications. They manage at the same time the energy source and the application and storage elements.

They were specifically developed for efficient operation with a variety of DC harvesting sources, including Thermal Electric Generators (TEG) and photovoltaic (solar) sources in the μW to mW range.

These devices speed up the system start-up when the main energy storage element is discharged, by means of a secondary energy storage element. They can manage a variety of storage elements, such as re-chargeable batteries, EDLC supercapacitors or conventional capacitors.
