    To strengthen the team, our RFID Business Unit is currently looking for a silicon validation engineer. Beyond the capability to take full ownership of the validation of new RFID IC developments in the lab, we are looking for an experienced professional motivated to drive methodology and best practice with a direct effect on efficiency and validation cycle time.
    You're mainly responsible for the following tasks:

    • Perform silicon validation and characterization for RFID product (UHF, HF and LF) together with design team and test engineer. Perform application and system measurements.
    • Improve validation methods and strategy to cut down product time to market while maintaining strong validation quality.
    • Collaborate with others sites in US and Prague and others Business Units to improve synergy on equipment usage, investment and methods
    • Contribute to product qualification together with designers and test engineers.
    • Support field application engineers with customer demands and customer returns analysis in a multi-disciplinary team together with quality, design and test engineers.

    For this role we are looking for a new colleague who matches the following profile:

    • RF and mixed signal IC validation and test experience
    • Background in test equipment and measurement automation

     Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Definition of electronic module test method and strategy.
    • Generation of full module test programs for evaluation and production
    • Structured and organized approach to developing and verifying module functions and specifications
    • Technical interface with EM design and production teams (local and remote)
    • Support the program manager in product test definition including technical analysis and test strategy
    • Interface with Quality, Design Services, Fab, Back-End and production teams
    • Interface with external customers for reviews/audits

    Your profile

    For this role the following profile is requested:

    • Experience in all aspects of digital and mixed signal IC test development, from test architecture definition to release to fabrication
    • Solid background in test concepts for high volume consumer and industrial products
    • Experience in and ability to develop dedicated test hardware and production test operation

    Professional requirements

    • MS-level academic background + 3-5 years of experience in relevant field
    • Prior experience in electronic modules is a plus
    • Ability to communicate with clarity and precision when interacting with external groups

    Job-description

    In order to strengthen our IC Production Backend division, we are recruiting a

    Test Engineer IC-Backend

    You will be responsible for wafer-level and die-level Testing, Probe-card management, Test-pattern/program management and test-data management in IC-Backend.
    Your assignment will include continuous improvement of test quality, test-time, test yield, test capability and tester matching in order to reach given yield- and cost targets.
    You will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining in-line control for the backend test equipment, including evaluation, specification and introduction of new test equipment. You will be the leader of ad-hoc, cross-functional problem solving teams for technical and quality related test problems. Your responsibilities also include certifying tester calibration according to existing quality norms (ISO, ESD, etc…). You will also technically support customers providing data traceability solutions like electronic wafer-maps.
    This with a strong drive to technically innovate the data management solutions and automation of testing.
    You will work closely with the development teams, the maintenance team and the operators. You are the technical leader of cross-functional teams and documentation and presentation of work results according EM’s business processes will be an important part of your responsibility

    Your profile

    • Master in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
    • At least 5 years professional experience in wafer-level testing for the semi-conductor industry
    • Experience with production- and tester application software and programming
    • Experience with electrical characterization methods and able to apply methodic competences (Sixsigma, DOE, SPC)
    • Experience with production- and tester application software and programming
    • Project Management – able to work on several projects simultaneously
    • Knowledge of IC manufacturing processes and testing of CMOS-related technologies (wafer-/die-level) and die-level
    • Pré: Additional knowledge in the field of IC-Assembly (packaging technologies)
